OWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!!

On November 27th we went to OWL for a tour. Along the way we had a amazing experience, shorebirds flew around us!! It was also cool when the shorebirds flew over the fields because they would flash their white butts.

The tour at OWL started with our guide, Colin, introducing us to Sarah, a barn owl. Then Colin showed us the rest of the healthy birds that they have there. These are birds that can't be released back into the wild, because they haven't healed properly, have amputated wings or portions of wings, or are imprinted on humans. The birds that aren't able to be released also foster chicks that are brought into OWL for some reason.

These are goshawks, Horus and Pharaoh.

This is a merlin, Aladdin.

This is Jewel, a snowy owl.

This is a great gray owl, Winston Churchowl.

This is Dino, a barred owl.

We are 5753 km from Tofino!

Reminder, we have active fundraisers:
