On Halloween we got around two pounds of candy and we went to Art's Nursery to see a boobook owl from Australia and a roadside hawk which lives in Central and South America. OWL Rehab brought the birds to the nursery.
The boobook owl is the star of a great book called Boobook's Nook by Sonia Strong. Boobooks have two to three boobook chicks at a time, usually in October. They mostly eat mice and rats. Rodenticides can poison them too, because they eat the rat or mouse that has been poisoned. The boobook owl is named Cricket.
This is Cricket.
We are 5217 km from Tofino!
