A Stellar's Sea Eagle is completely lost on the East Coast of the USA, when it is supposed to be in the Bering Sea. This one has been spotted in Alaska, Texas, on the Gaspé Peninsula, Nova Scotia, Massachusetts, and now Maine. Who knows where it will go next. Here is a cool interactive map: https://www.audubon.org/news/inside-amazing-cross-continent-saga-stellers-sea-eagle The Stellar's Sea Eagle is huge and rare. Reminder, we have active fundraisers:
We're collecting cans and bottles, really anything that has a deposit on it to return for both Birds Canada and OWL Rehab. Let us know if you have some you'd like to donate, OR you can take yours back and make a donation to our campaign through our fundraising page, OR if you live in BC we set up an express Return-it account. So if you drop them off and use our phone number at the express station, then it will be credited to our account and we'll add the value to our donations to OWL and Birds Canada. Send us a message if you need our phone number.

Hope this eagle "immigrant" finds a home in its new habitat! There are many reports of birds straying far off their usual trajectory - perhaps in response to climate and habitat change, food supplies, etc?
