I am really enjoying your tour and am learning alot - you write very well! I like the photos that you have posted to illustrate the environments and wild life that you see along the way. Have you seen any towns yet? Is there any logging happening in place that you have walked?
We think you must be very close to Qualicum Beach, maybe at Coombs. Stop for an ice cream at the market - it would be good energy food for you! We are so impressed by your photography and facts about the bird life. How have the roads been this past week as we've had 6" of snow here. Cheering you on!
