We made it to Manitoba! Wahoo!
We are 2447 km from Tofino, which is right on the border of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
These are Bald Eagles. They can be found in Manitoba during the summer. They eat primarily fish on the BC coast, but also eat carrion, reptiles, rodents, and birds. They make really big nests, they can weigh as much as two tons. Their wingspan is 2m, so if you're practising physical distancing for COVID, you should keep an Bald Eagle wingspan apart.
This is a sign from Metro Vancouver Regional parks that we saw at Campbell Valley Regional Park.
That is an amaziing wingspan! I love the feathers on the wingtips...they almost look like fingers! I wonder what function the serve when flying or "sky-diving" .
