Hi Moncton and Golden-crowned Kinglets

Moncton is close to the Bay of Fundy. It has the world's largest tides. Here is a video of someone surfing the tide coming in on the Petitcodiac River, also known as the Chocolate River. Another cool thing is Magnetic Hill. On Magnetic Hill people put their car in neutral and go up the hill. It is an optical illusion.

The golden-crowned kinglet can be seen in Moncton. It has a wingspan of 14 to 18 cm. It weighs 4 to 8 g. It's length is 8 to 11 cm. It can live up to 5 years. Golden-crowned kinglets have 1 to 2 broods each year of 8 to 9 eggs from May to August. They eat seeds, insects and their eggs. They have a distinct see-see-see call, which helps you find them. Here is a video.

We are 6490 km from Tofino!

Reminder, we have active fundraisers:

We're collecting cans and bottles, really anything that has a deposit on it to return for both Birds Canada and OWL Rehab. Let us know if you have some you'd like to donate, OR you can take yours back and make a donation to our campaign through our fundraising page, OR if you live in BC we set up an express Return-it account. So if you drop them off and use our phone number at the express station, then it will be credited to our account and we'll add the value to our donations to OWL and Birds Canada. Send us a message if you need our phone number.
