Just another plain old post

Updated: Oct 13, 2021

Like usual we passed a park. It's called Bell's Lake. It is a attract for people who like to canoe, kayak or fish. It is one of the conservation areas managed by Saugeen Conservation. Saugeen Conservation conserves lands and animals in the Saugeen River watershed.

Mourning doves have been found near Bell's Lake. The mourning dove is 23 to 24 cm in length, has a wingspan of 37 to 45 cm and weighs 85 to 175 g. It lives for up to 19 years. Mourning doves eat seeds they find on the ground. Their call almost sounds like an owl's. You can hear them here.

We are 4710 km from Tofino.
