Kilometres, kilometres, more kilometres...

We are at 992 km from Tofino! Over Spring Break we passed the Enchanted Forest, Mount Revelstoke National Park, the Giant Cedars Boardwalk, the Hemlock Grove Boardwalk, and Glacier National Park. Yesterday we passed Marl Creek Provincial Park and Burges James Gadsden Provincial Park. This morning we passed Yoho National Park. Since we are getting close to the provincial border, we are learning about the provincial animals and plants of BC. BC's provincial mammal is the Spirit Bear, the bird is the Steller's Jay, the fish is Pacific Salmon which includes cutthroat trout, sockeye salmon, pink salmon, chum salmon, chinook salmon, steelhead, and coho salmon. The flower is Pacific Dogwood and the tree is Western Red Cedar. BC's official gemstone is jade. Here is the link to the official provincial symbols https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/governments/celebrating-british-columbia/symbols-of-bc. This is BC's provincial bird: The Steller's Jay.
