On October 12th, we went to George C Reifel Bird Sanctuary, and on the drive home we saw thousands of snow geese. Snow geese migrate through that area. They summer in the Artic tundra. They lay 2 to 6 eggs. They eat plants. They are herbivorous. Snow geese are 69 to 83 cm long, with a wingspan of 1.3 to 1.7 m, and weigh 1.7 to 3 kg. They can live up to 27 years. When we saw them, they were in huge flocks.
The grey ones are immature.

We are 4796 km from Tofino.
