Swainson's Hawk

The Swainson's hawk is most famous for it's fall migration from the Canadian prairies to southern South America, 9,650 km! It averages 200 km per day, 1400 km a week. It is 48 to 56 cm long. It has a wingspan of 1.4 m. They weigh 700 g to 1400 g. They can live for up to 19 years.
