Yesterday we saw Virginia Rail chicks at a duck pond near us. Their mom went into a drainpipe, and then flew out. The Virginia Rail chicks are really cute. They were just darting around in the reeds like little black fluff balls, sometimes chasing their mom.

This is the Virginia Rail mom.

We also made it to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park with our ride to the duck pond. There are over 200 bird species found at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. One of them is the Cedar Waxwing, here is a picture of one.

We are 3541 km from Tofino.
